The skin anyway loses moisture as we grow old.
An Effective Home Made scrub
Those of us with dry skin usually end up smearing loads of heavy duty moisturizer. Many commercially available skin care products claim to be suitable for dry skin. But do they really work? The answer is, “No”. Here’s a simple yet effective home remedy to keep the skin hydrated and supple.
Simply mix coarsely ground almonds in honey. Though ground almonds are available in stores, you never know how long they have been sitting there. If possible, just grind them at home. Grinding them coarsely is key because finely ground almonds become oily.
Keep both the ingredients separately and mix them just before going for a shower. Alternatively, blend them together in the ratio of two tablespoons of ground almonds in a tablespoon of honey. Transfer the blend to a bottle and keep it refrigerated.
Apply the scrub on your face and scrub gently. You can even add yogurt or a few drops of lemon juice to the scrub. Leave the scrub on for 10-15 minutes before washing the face. Remember to pat dry the skin as against wiping it with a towel.
